Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who began her career with clever raps that tackled sexuality and racial identities with a boldly comic perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Jazz, classical and hip-hop education began when she was a teenager. In college, she concentrated on her studies, and then majored both in women's study as well as journalism. While she was for a brief amount during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. It wasn't until she graduated that she start focusing on music. After becoming famous on the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album featured other viral hits like the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. This track was directly linked with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. Now she was looking to further her career in acting. Alongside early TV shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered an array of noteworthy parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
